The 2015 Challenger continues to be the slightly larger alternative to the other sporty muscle cars sold by other brands. Engine options start with a 3.6-liter V6, which offers up 305 horsepower in the Challenger SXT. Move up to the Challenger R/T model and get a roaring 5.7-liter, 375-horsepower Hemi V8. If you want real thrills, pick up the Challenger R/T Scat Pack, which offers an all-new 6.4-liter SRT Hemi V8, rated at 485 horsepower for some intense fun. Transmission choices are an eight-speed automatic or six-speed stick shift. 2015 Challenger models with the 6.4-liter Hemi can be expected to go 0-60mph in about 4.5 seconds; that's enough to get anyone's blood pumping.
There are a plethora of trim levels on the 2015 Challenger and even more customization options; you may never see another one just like yours. The basic trim levels are as follows: Challenger SXT and SXT Plus, R/T and R/T Plus, and the exciting R/T Scat Pack. Even the base SXT comes nicely equipped inside and out, if you are looking for a sporty two-door, but don't need all the go-fast goodies. The SXT starts with complete power accessories, tilt/telescope steering, 18" alloy wheels, and a six-speaker infotainment system with 5" touch screen. The infotainment system features full Bluetooth connectivity with voice commands so you can keep your hands on the wheel and in control of all that horsepower. Of particular interest are the Super Sport Group and Super Track Pack option packages. The Super Sport Group, being the sportier option, gives you 20" alloy wheels along with sport-tuned suspension and brakes. This upgrade package will you get access to the Performance Pages menu in the infotainment system, which allows for tailoring performance aspects of the car. The Challenger SXT Plus gets heated and ventilated front seats, 8.4" touchscreen display, and the option of a red interior, among other things. All V6 Challenger models come with the eight-speed automatic gearbox.
R/T models are where the serious muscle starts. All R/T models include one of the two Hemi V8s under the hood. The R/T and R/T Plus mirror the features of the SXT models but feature the 5.7-liter V8 and a limited slip differential. The R/T Scat Pack adds the bigger 6.4-liter V8 to the R/T Plus, along with Brembo Brakes and even more features. The Scat Pack is very similar to the SRT model from last year but comes at a substantially lower cost. These cars all come standard with the six-speed manual, but can be optioned out with the automatic if you so desire.
